carpe diem

just got a shocking mail this afternoon about a highschool classmate overseas who had died from a cardiac arrest during a surgery. and i just realised that it was only 6 months ago that rafael had survived from his operation. how lucky we are to have our healthy and cheerful rafael back!

and this reminds me so much that we really need to seize the day and grab hold of every living moment to love the people we love.

my classmate was survived by her husband and 6-month-old daughter. and again this reminds me that i really need to take good care of myself so i can have the ability to take care of rafael.

Can't imagine losing the spouse, yet alone leaving such a precious little girl behind. What a tradegy. Hope daddy would find strength and courage from his little girl to live on.

I was shocked too... so sad esp leaving a 6-month old girl behind. A minor surgery can take a life away. We are just humans. Nothing is in our control.

I am so sorry to hear this. As you said, we all need to cherish what we have. You never know what will happen.

Also remind me to make arrangements to ensure my loved ones will be taken care of. Time to consider buying more insurance...
